I must be just an evil conservative, but the last time I looked, conservatives were against the murder of unborn children. That was why I found it particularly shocking when, yesterday, Obama signed an executive order that reversed the ban that prohibits funding to international "family planning groups" that provides abortions.
How ironic that the groups with the words family planning are also the groups that supports killing new members of families. What a cute cuddly name. I'll keep that in mind the next time I envision an abortion taking place. Of course for some people out there I suppose that imagining an abortion is not too high on their to-do-list.
Sigh, where is Ronald Regan when you need him?

Caroline Kennedy Dropping Out?
When I first heard this my initial reaction was: What!!! She’s a Kennedy and Kennedys are akin to, well royalty in politics. No…She’s an Empress of politics because of her name… “Kennedy”. According to usnews.com in an article by Corky Siemaszko Kennedy had more going for her than just her name: “JFK's daughter had another huge ace in her pocket - she was an early supporter of Barack Obama, who called her "one of my dearest friends." That, coupled with Kennedy's famous name, was more than enough to make her the front-runner in the public's eyes.” (Siemaszko).
But unfortunately for her, the other democrats didn’t just roll over and die when she entered the scene. Especially not state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, the ex-governor's son. His relations with the Kennedy clan were already strained after his bitter divorce from Kennedy's cousin (Siemaszko).
Once I got over the initial shock I realized that there was more going on here than meets the eye. It seems to me that someone has a little something up their sleeve preventing Kennedy from taking the job. A little blackmail perhaps? My suspicion was later confirmed by this section in the article:
“It's awkward," said a Democrat with ties to Paterson. "If she's serious, there could be a serious behind-the-scenes war, with lots of personal baggage behind it."(Siemaszko).
Siemaszko portrays Kennedy in this article as a shy young girl with cold feet, just being bullied along by her family to take Clinton’s seat, but I think she’s more capable than the media is willing to admit. I sense espionage, and intrigue behind this story, and I don’t think the media is being completely honest. After all I’m pretty sure that any self respecting Kennedy would never turn down the opportunity to take a position from a Clinton, without good reason.
